How to Remove AntiVirus 2009 AntiVirus 2009 can be hard to remove. The first thing to try is to see if the program is installed in your Add or Remove Programs in your Control Panel. For Windows XP users, click on the "Start" button, then click on "Settings" and then on "Control Panel" and then "Add or Remove Programs". Vista users will click on "Start" button, then click on "Settings" and then on "Control Panel" and last "Programs". However, as there may still be hidden Antivirus 2009 files, it's possible that Antivirus 2009 will reappear after reboot.
The best program I have found to remove this virus is called Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware. They have a Free Version and a Paid Version. The free version is very good, but only runs when you start the program yourself and you run a scan. No matter which version you get, either one is a must in your toolkit against Malware. If you can afford it, I recommend that you get the paid version. It's a one time cost and with buying the paid version you will get these three benefits.
The best benefit of buying the Full Version is you can " Set It & Forget It".What I mean by "Set It & Forget It" is that once you have installed the program and scheduled the program to scan your PC and update itself then you don't have to do anything else. With the Free Version you will have to make sure that you setup a time to run Malwarebytes Anti-Malware and get any updates and then run a scan on your PC. I would recommend that you do this every two weeks at a minimum. |

With the Paid Version I would set it to update every day and run a scan everyday when you are not using the computer. |
