XP Police AntiVirus Aliases:
XP Police Antivirus is a Rogue AntiSpyware Program. A Rogue AntiSpyware program is a fake application that seems like a real spyware removal program. What happens is that you visit a website that has been hacked and you will get a pop up message that you have a virus and it will run a fake scan in your browser. It will say you have one or more viruses and to click here to install a program that will remove the virus. Here is where the scammer gets you. When you click on the link, you are send to a website where you have to pay for the virus/spyware removal program. The main problem is that the website where you paid for the virus removal program, is the one who gave you the virus in the first place.
